In this process, the flexible AFM cantilever bows until the force holding the particle in place or to the surface is overcome and the particle moves (see paper in “publications”.) The bowing is a function of the adhesive force. Video 2 Video with stops at critical points (Showing AFM during analysis) This is the same video as Video 1, but the frames are stopped to identify critical points. The video also has explanations (time when pulsed-laser is turned on, initial cantilever condition, no bowing, before the pulling begins, the time at which the pulling is initiated, the maximum cantilever bowing, and the point at which the particle adhesive force is overcome).
